Summer Mid-week Bible Study

Pastor Bero will be leading a three week Bible this summer on the topic of "new spiritualities" infusing the broader American Christian church, and even making inroads in Reformed circles. It should be a very informative and useful class.

The studies will be held Tuesday nights, July 15, 22 and 29 at 7pm. Everyone is encouraged to participate.

Summer Visitation

The 2008 summer home visitation cycle is upon us and Pastor Bero will be scheduling visits with each of our church families. This time, in accordance with our URC church order, our pastor will be accompanied by a member of the Consistory. The purpose and intent of these visits is to pray for, admonish, and encourage our families in their spiritual lives, and to help the consistory better understand the strengths and needs of our congregation, that it can better plan for and lead our church.

Kauai Reformation Church

Grace Evangelical Church is partnering with Oceanside URC in helping to establish Kauai Reformation Church, a new church plant in Hawaii on the island of Kauai. The church plant is doing very well with several key families and regular visitors. Ministers and licentiates from throughout the URC, including our own Reverend Bero and licentiate Brian Cochran, have been traveling to the island to lead worship services and catechism classes. They are currently working through the process with Oceanside URC and Grace Evangelical Church and other churches within our federation of calling a full-time, dedicated pastor.
